An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic nurse to join our team of Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists within the Melanoma Skin cancer pathway. The Clinical Nurse Specialist works as part of the multi-professional team, ensuring that patients with Melanoma cancer receive the highest standard of care and support from the time of diagnosis and throughout the cancer pathway. The post holder will represent the Trust and the Lead Cancer Nurse at all meetings related to the cancer service framework, particularly those pertaining to Melanoma cancer. Main duties of the job

As a pivotal member of the team, you will be passionate about delivering high quality, safe, and effective care to St George's cohort of Melanoma Cancer patients. You will meet patients post-diagnosis and act as a keyworker for them throughout their entire cancer pathway, including patients across the surgical and medical oncology treatment paradigms. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills Advanced communications skills course Psychological assessment level 2 course Experience

2 years band 6/7 experience in oncology, plastics, melanoma / skin cancer Counselling Qualification Qualifications

Current NMC Registration Oncology module or other relevant qualification Masters Degree Physical Assessment Module Teaching Experience Research

Knowledge of current clinical and nursing research related to melanoma / skin cancer Ability to critically analyse data Ability to carry out an audit Research Course and/or experience Published work (articles/posters/conference presentation) Knowledge

An understanding of audit, research and evidence based practice Up to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues Management and Leadership

Evidence of clinical leadership qualities Evidence of presentation skills Evidence of excellent documentation/written skills Ability to work autonomously or as part of a multi-professional team Experience of change management Knowledge of statistics and report writing Disclosure and Barring Service Check
