Runcorn MCP Limited is a 50/50 joint venture between Vynova (Part of the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) and Inovyn (Part of the INEOS Group)) which operates a state-of-the-art membrane electrolysis plant for the production of chlorine, caustic soda and hydrogen. The plant is one of the largest cellrooms in Europe and is located at the Runcorn Site in Cheshire. Job Purpose The post holder will provide electrical maintenance cover for MCP production assets, taking a leading role in the continued improvement of manufacturing plant relief. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Investigating faults and repair electrical equipment. Carry out self and third party electrical isolations under SAF04. Liaising directly with the relevant engineers and managers regarding production problems and improvement work. Carry out hazardous area inspections, remedial repairs, maintenance and installation to ATEX standards. Leading small teams (employee and contractor) during planned or breakdown work. Key skills and knowledge required Appropriate electrical training with supporting academic qualification. Demonstrably high commitment to SHE standards. Highly motivated, self-managing individual with high degree of independence. Team player with a flexible approach to work patterns and skills. This is a direct recruitment.
