We're recruiting on behalf of a Mainframe Services Provider who are looking for a Mainframe Automation Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract.
Responsibilities:
Designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for z/OS environments, optimizing system operations, and improving efficiency across mainframe systems. Design, implement, and maintain z/OS automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions. Develop automation scripts and workflows using tools such as IBM z/OS Automation, REXX, JCL, and other mainframe automation utilities. Track Service Delivery and ensure SLA compliance.
Qualifications: Previous experience with z/OS Mainframe Architecture. Experience with IBM or ISV products such as IBM System Automation or CA OPS/MVS. Expert knowledge in Assembler Programming. Experience in Mainframe Security such as RACF, ACF2.
