Saint-Gobain Glass , we are looking for

a Maintenance Electrician

to work in our

shift team , helping to deliver

planned and reactive maintenance as well as continuous improvement projects on site. This

Maintenance Electrician

will be a part of

the shift team in our Transform department, looking after our Coating and Laminating lines.

You must be confident in your abilities as you’ll be the only electrician on shift, but a great team player too as you’ll be working as part of our wider shift team including the mechanical engineer and operators. We’ve got world-leading automation and technology on site so there’s lots to get stuck into – we’ll train you up on our kit and set you up for success! Saint-Gobain Glass UK

is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and the only UK based Saint-Gobain site to manufacture flat glass for the commercial and domestic market. You’ll be working 12 hour shifts on a four on, four off pattern - two days, two nights with the following four days off. What we’re looking for: An apprentice trained Electrician or equivalent, ideally with experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrates a flexible approach to work, with experience of diagnosis and repair of electrical failures, routine maintenance, experience of instrumentation, etc. Continuous Improvement and/or WCM methodologies and techniques PLC controls knowledge A focus on H&S with the ability to adhere to site standards and act as a true H&S ambassador What you will be doing: Performing both planned and reactive maintenance in order to keep our site running efficiently and reducing down-time Identify opportunities for improvement and get involved in projects Work closely with the days Engineering function and collaborate with wider shift team to solve issues Model our H&S standards and identify any risks If you match our criteria, we will be in touch to discuss your experience and more about you as a person, we look forward to hearing from you!
