We are currently seeking a qualified Electrician with experience working in the commercial maintenance industry to work on a mobile basis in and around South West London / South East regions.
As a Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), alongside fault finding and reactive maintenance duties across commercial electrical systems and environments. You will be working on a mobile basis, within a 30-mile radius of London, with the majority of work being in South West London.
Package / What is on offer: Competitive salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (£17.50 - £19.50 per hour) dependent on experience. Travel time paid D2D from home. Standard employment hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Location: South West London and surrounding areas (30-mile radius). Company Van + Fuel Card (full personal use allowed). Paid overtime available. Paid on-call rota; standby allowance + call out fee if called out. Pension, Company Uniform, Company phone/tablet. Company funded training and development. 25 days holiday + bank holidays (total 33 days).
Duties: As a Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be carrying out the following on a day-to-day basis:
Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance. Travelling via van to a variety of commercial environments. Providing detailed remedial reports of works completed / carried out. Working with systems and carrying out duties such as: electrical fault finding, wiring, lighting (decorative, safety, security, internal/external etc.), sockets, circuits, transformers, power distribution, power supplies to building services/HVAC equipment, fire alarm tests, installing electrical accessories (i.e., maglocks etc.). Be part of the company on-call rota 1 day per week.
Requirements: Must be a fully qualified electrician, i.e., City and Guilds 236 Part 2 / City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / Electro-technical Level 2 etc. Must hold City and Guilds 18th edition. Must hold a UK driving license with under 7 points. Experience working within a maintenance role within commercial environments / with commercial systems is highly desirable. Able to be on standby as part of the on-call rota 1 day per week.
