Location: Newcastle

A highly sought-after opportunity to work with one of the world's largest privately owned FM companies. Due to an increase in workload and projects, they are looking to significantly increase their workforce across the country.

The successful candidate will undertake M&E small works, repairs, maintenance, and installation within agreed timescales whilst complying with company policy and procedure.

The Duties:

Undertake planned and reactive maintenance works in accordance with contractual KPI's. Undertake refurbishment & installation works of all aspects of electrical services, including electrical switchgear, distribution boards, mains and sub-mains cabling, containment, lighting, and other electrical equipment. Advise the store manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the running of the store. Carry out minor alterations and installations in accordance with current specifications. Work with company and Co-op colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times. Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, CBES HSE management systems, procedures, or instructions as they apply, and ensure that all direct reports are adequately trained and follow safe systems of work. Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.

Requirements: City & Guilds 2365 (Electrical Installations or equivalent), minimum 5 years practical experience. BS7671 (18th Edition update) qualification. City & Guilds 2400 and 2391 (or 2395) qualification. IPAF, PASMA & COMPEX 07/08 qualifications. ECS Grade card (Electrician) & H&S Awareness. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload. Full/clean driving licence.

What's In It For You: Starting salary of £34,500 per annum. 8am - 4pm working hours. Paid from when you leave your home to when you get back. On call one week in four with a surplus payment of £150 when on call. Time and a half for being called out/overtime. Van + Fuel Card. Uniform.
