We are actively recruiting for a qualified Electrician / Maintenance Electrician to join a team of building services engineers, carrying out planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor installations and testing & inspection (qualification dependant) duties.

Bullet Pointed Summary:

£18 - £21 per hour. 40 hour working week: £37.5K - £43.6K per annum base salary. Site based hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00am - 4:00pm. Locations: Southampton, Hampshire & surrounding areas (up to 50 mile radius). Environments: Commercial - Pubs, restaurants, leisure centres, libraries etc. Provided: Company van, fuel card, pension, 28 days paid holiday etc. Status: Permanent, PAYE. Paid overtime available. Price works on out of hours / further travel. Call out: 1 in 6 weeks: £100 per week standby + £50 per call out + D2D travel paid. Call outs very rarely overnight, mainly weekend days. Example; 6 call outs over a weekend while on your week on-call would average at circa £550 - £650 for the week. Company funded training and up-skilling which also comes with a rate increase.

Duties:

As a maintenance Electrician, you would be carrying out; Planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor installations / projects and testing and inspection works. Ie: wiring, lighting (security lighting, safety/emergency lighting, decorative lighting, lighting upgrades), lamps, ballasts, sockets, circuits, power distribution, transformers, power supplies to HVAC and security systems (access control systems, cctv etc), fire alarm tests, electrical fault finding etc.

Requirements:

As a Maintenance Electrician, we would expect the following for the right candidate: Must be a fully qualified electrician, to one of the following standards; NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds Level 3 2330 / City and Guilds Part 2 2360. City and Guilds Testing and Inspection Certificate (any of the following; 2391/2/3/4/5) would be preferable and come at the higher end of the rate range. 18th Edition. Experience carrying out maintenance within commercial environments is a large advantage. Must be able to legally work and drive in the UK with under 7 points on your driving license.
