Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer or an entry-level professional looking to grow in a dynamic environment? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading company in Banbury for an exciting opportunity to join their Maintenance and Facilities team.

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll provide essential electrical, mechanical, and PLC support across the facility. You'll be responsible for ensuring all equipment operates efficiently, delivering both reactive and preventative maintenance. Working on a rotational shift pattern, you'll also have the flexibility to cover nights or weekends when needed.

Salary and Benefits

Experienced Engineers: £46,000 per annum Entry-Level Engineers: £35,000 per annum Weekly Pay Pension scheme: Employee contribution 5%, Employer contribution 3% 21 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting for equipment and machinery. Work with electrical systems, PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal, S7), and industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet, Profibus). Support preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns. Diagnose issues with robots, motors, drives, and sensors. Collaborate on new installations, equipment moves, and project work. Monitor air handling units (AHUs) for flow, temperature, and humidity levels. Adhere to Health & Safety standards, including the use of PPE and proper reporting of risks or defects.

What We're Looking For

Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance. Knowledge of pneumatics, instrumentation, and industrial controls. Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to read technical drawings. A proactive, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset.
