Repair and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery. Minimise factory downtime by organising plant maintenance and addressing breakdowns quickly. Maintain laboratory and office equipment with prompt attention to breakdowns. Order replacement parts as necessary. Conduct preventative maintenance and keep detailed records of all maintenance activities. Outsource repairs when required. Report equipment issues and faults, ensuring necessary parts are ordered. Arrange startup/shutdown procedures and ensure security of premises. Install and commission new equipment. Conduct routine quality checks and diagnostic tests on equipment. Respond to emergencies, unplanned issues, and repairs. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures. Prioritise and manage workload effectively. Maintain records of both preventive and emergency maintenance. Perform minor repairs to building fittings and structures. Ensure plant and equipment maintain safe working conditions in line with current legislation. Advise on equipment alternatives or improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Foster communication with staff and management to achieve maximum efficiency across the company. Working Hours

At least 3 years of experience maintaining/repairing special-purpose machinery as an electrically biased maintenance engineer. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and engineering, preferably within the polymer processing sector. Strong knowledge of engineering functions and procedures. Ability to work cooperatively with team members and management. Ability to take initiative and respond positively under pressure. Good diagnostic and critical thinking skills.
