Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting for a skilled and proactive professional to join our client, who is a leading glass manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing machinery, minimizing downtime, and keeping production running efficiently. What You’ll Be Doing: Carrying out preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on glass manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, conveyors, and automated systems. Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults to keep production running. Ensuring health & safety standards are met, performing risk assessments, and maintaining a safe working environment. Collaborating with production teams to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability. Keeping detailed maintenance records and assisting in machinery upgrades and new installations. Working with external contractors and suppliers for repairs and spare parts. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting (glass industry experience is a plus!). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ideally with knowledge of PLC systems. Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated production machinery. Ability to read technical drawings and manuals. A problem-solving mindset, ability to work independently and as part of a team. What’s on Offer: Competitive salary with overtime opportunities.
