Staffline is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work for our prestigious client specialising in food manufacturing, based in Wolverhampton.

Salary is between £16.82-£19.23 per hr depending on experience.

You will work fixed shifts Monday to Friday-7am-3:30pm. Flexibility for this role is required.

Your Time at Work

Maintenance Engineer duties/responsibilities: Responsible for investigating effective ways to keep production moving, improving productivity, repair, and fault management, and maintaining electrical and mechanical maintenance. Expert system maintenance, breakdown support, installation, safety, and risk assessment. Liaising with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all maintenance schedules are conducted in a timely manner to drive a continuous improvement culture. Conduct all planned machine and equipment maintenance to improve site efficiency. Work as part of a skilled cross functional maintenance team. Quickly diagnose faults and take corrective action. Keep and maintain appropriate records as required. Project support, new machinery sourcing and implementation. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures and Health & Safety regulations. Ensure consistent, and timely attendance at work of self and team.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect Maintenance Engineer: Current experience/qualification in a related Engineering Discipline. Experience in the overhaul, repair and modification of varied manufacturing, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and conveyor systems. Computer literate with working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment. Proactive approach/right first-time attitude. Speaking, writing and understanding good spoken and written English language. Able to work alone and as part of the team. Flexible, adaptable, keen to learn and support others' learning.

Desirable Maintenance Engineer's skills:

18th edition desirable. Experience within the food industry would be advantageous. Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2.
