We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an O&M Technician to join our team at Dolgarrog in North Wales! As an O&M Technician in the Wales & England hydro maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and optimisation of hydro-electric mechanical and electrical power generating plant, equipment, and related systems, based at Dolgarrog and serving power stations primarily in North Wales. Utilising your background knowledge and experience in the field of mechanical and electrical systems, you will be expected to provide a high level of asset specific technical knowledge and competence within your discipline area to complete plant outages, troubleshoot emergent issues and support other members of the O&M team to deliver safe, flexible and reliable plant. Deliver the commercial performance of the asset. Budget management and cost control:

Ensure maintenance expenditure is within approved budgets and plans, and manage resources effectively. Engender a culture of innovation:

Ensure that business performance is continuously improved, including identifying areas where the power plant staff can learn from practices in place within the wider RWE Generation portfolio. Management of Staff, Competence and Development:

Demonstrate positive engagement with staff at all levels and promote a culture of wellbeing and a positive team environment. Engagement with the wider RWE Business:

Foster buy-in at all levels of the organisation. Job Requirements and Experience Proven experience maintaining plant equipment within the Hydro industry or a similar sector. High technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical disciplines, including the ability to interpret schematics and circuit diagrams. HNC/Degree qualification in an Engineering Discipline with practical experience in maintenance or operations. Strong ability to manage changing priorities with attention to detail, methodical approach, innovation, and commercial awareness. Effective team player, capable of thriving in a multi-disciplinary environment. Knowledge of power generation safety management systems, including system Safety Rules, and Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation. Proficient IT skills, with desirable experience using SAP for Work Management and accessing information via SCADA systems (training provided). Flexibility to work outside core hours in a 24/7 operation, with a full, current driving license and customer-focused approach. What we will offer you An expected starting salary from approximately £47,000 to £57,000 depending on experience and up to 10% annual bonus.
