Main Responsibilities Maintain line awareness at all times supporting and reacting promptly to breakdowns/downtime Support shift maintenance engineers within the reactive escalation structure Complete planned maintenance activities to schedule Maintain awareness and compliance with site quality management system Clear and accurate reporting using CMMS system Prepare for and complete size changeovers as per production planning requirements, working to streamline the site c/o process Ensure availability and efficient function of re-conditioned subassembly/spares Support the Production Team during major machine and services breakdowns Plan, execute and follow up area specific infrastructure and process improvements Revise and maintain area specific TPM documents Manufacturing of Parts & Unit Spares Where necessary, re-engineer spare parts using drawings or reverse engineering from existing parts Manufacture unit spares and components using a full range of engineering machines (lathe, mill, surface grinder, welding/cutting equipment etc.) Additional Duties Comply with all departmental administration procedures (Tooling, CMMS, spares management etc.) Maintain all safe working practices as required by Health and Safety Legislation and Power Press Regulations Maintain a good standard of housekeeping by regular cleaning (maintenance workshop and FE area) Required Education and Qualifications Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance Beneficial Education and Qualifications HNC Maintenance Engineer Days
