Maintenance Engineer
to join the team on a full-time basis. Primarily, your role will be to carry out maintenance, fault finding, and installation work on mechanical/electrical building services and associated equipment. While core hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm, there will be an on-call rota where you will be available 1 in every 5-6 weeks to attend any emergencies out of hours. Job responsibilities include: Participating as a member of an integrated maintenance team. Using a wide range of mechanical/electrical services tools and machines. Reading mechanical/electrical services drawings and schematics. The ability to use fault finding procedures and equipment manufacturers manuals to trace and rectify faults. Operating and repairing steam boiler plant and associated steam services. Undertaking water treatment tests. Operating, inspecting, and repairing hot water heating systems and hot and cold domestic water systems. Repairing/installing/fault diagnosing electrical equipment and installations in line with current regulations. Operating, inspecting, or repairing compressed air plant and installations, pumping, and extract systems. Changing/adjusting belt drive systems to include the replacement of pulleys and bearings. Working on drainage systems. Fault finding and repairing controls such as actuators and BMS. Welding with either gas or electric. Installing copper, plastic, or steel pipes, using any appropriate jointing technique. Calibration and commissioning of equipment to standard operating procedures.
