The Wellingborough site operates a highly automated 24/7 production system, where performance and efficiency hinge on exceptional engineering practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently within a constantly evolving PPM system. This role follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities of this Maintenance Engineer role:

Ensure all machinery and ancillary equipment are fully operational and in optimal condition. Respond promptly to breakdowns and outages. Conduct systematic fault finding. Perform general machine maintenance, including strip down, cleaning, inspection, repairs, and rebuilds. Execute PPM works in line with the CMMS schedule. Source, order, and stock parts for repairs and replenishment. Promote and implement continuous improvements within onsite engineering to maximise efficiency. Maintain accurate records of all work carried out. Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness in working areas. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental requirements. Undertake any reasonable tasks requested. Skills and Experience Required for this Maintenance Engineer role: HNC/HND or equivalent recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering. Working knowledge of pneumatics. Experience in a similar role within a fast-moving environment. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Adaptability to meet ever-changing demands. Excellent prioritisation and time management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Proactive problem-solving abilities. Flexibility and a positive approach to work.
