Shift Engineer (Commercial Facilities)

FM teams will work a shift pattern of 5 in 7 and have alternative weekends off. The shifts will be an 8 hour day, with an hour's unpaid break. Start and finish times will range from 07:30 to 18:00. Evening on-call arrangements will be provided on a weekly basis (7 days) from 18:00 to 07:30 and will be on a rota arrangement, which will be confirmed once all roles are in post. When on-call, engineers will receive a GBP175 standby allowance for the week. If they are called to site, they will receive time and a half for the hours that they are required to be.
Info: Must be fully qualified Electrically OR Mechanically. Must be able to pass a Security Clearance.
Duties: To undertake the maintenance and repair of the Electrical and Mechanical service, including fabric tasks of buildings as required under contract. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports. Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork. The electrician is part of a multidisciplined Reactive and PPM Team and provides maintenance support on a large multi-building, multi-tenanted site. The role will be to carry out planned preventative maintenance or respond to a multitude of electrical faults as part of the infrastructure to ensure regulatory compliance and continued operation of site equipment. Supporting the wider team in other areas where required related to customer requirements. Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all electrically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests. Electrical fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site. Keeping the CAFM system updated with works carried out.
