We are in search of a Mechanically Bias Maintenance Engineer for this manufacturing leader in Luton, Bedfordshire. With growth plans, they are looking to elevate both efficiency and customer quality. This Monday - Friday days-based role within this forward-thinking business provides both reactive and planned maintenance.

The role as a Maintenance Engineer:

Key Responsibilities as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Lead the maintenance and optimization of mechanical systems to ensure peak operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize production downtime. Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment longevity and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide detailed reports to management. Skills and Experience Required for this Mechanical Engineer role: Proven experience as a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing setting. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance. Experience working with welding and fabrication equipment. Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications.
