A global manufacturing business based in Caerphilly County is looking to take on a Maintenance Engineer. This position is well suited to a multiskilled maintenance engineer who has experience working on CNC machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a worldwide manufacturer who supplies their fabricated products to a variety of industries, primarily the automotive industry, where they have won a series of new contracts with household names.
Role & Responsibilities: Conduct planned preventative maintenance including the scheduling of this activity. Carry out building and site maintenance for the site. Provide input into the specification of new manufacturing equipment to ensure that it is of robust design and will not pose any problems with regard to servicing and maintenance. Carry out installation of production equipment including electrical and pneumatic services as required. Support and participate in continuous improvement activities as required within all areas of the business. Work on pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, motors, PLCs, gearboxes, bearings, and fans.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Multiskilled background working within a fast-paced maintenance department. CNC experience is beneficial for this role. A previous time-served apprenticeship within a related industry.
