38 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 and Friday 07:30 to 12:50) Based in Farnworth, Bolton we are the leading manufacturer of heating elements and associated process heating equipment that's required in domestic and industrial applications. About the Role: Reporting to the Production Manager, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to be responsible for the continuous routine maintenance on plant and machinery to ensure the smooth running of production and the reliability of the equipment. We are looking for someone who has had previous experience in a manufacturing environment and can ensure that our site maintenance is pro-active and well managed. Key responsibilities: Provision of a pro-active approach to our in-house maintenance service (there may be times when hours need to be worked outside standard working hours to accommodate machinery replacement/repair but this will be pre-planned) Create a maintenance plan for the organisation's equipment, driving a zero downtime culture. Ensure that planned maintenance is carried out as expected, utilising the wider team in PPM activities. Complete emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down. Manage the budget for maintenance of equipment. Keep records of preventative and emergency maintenance. Conduct frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is required. Ensure the company complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place. Development of apprentices. About you: Key Skills/Experience: Previous Experience of mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing business. Some knowledge of electrical principles. Knowledge of IT systems. Flexibility.
