We are currently looking for an experienced
Maintenance Engineer
to join one of our clients on a temp to perm basis. The company is a well-respected provider of specialist equipment to a range of train manufacturers and train operating companies around the UK and overseas. Working on a day shift basis and based in their premises in Manchester, the role will involve providing a range of electrical and mechanical duties to the site. Main Responsibilities:
Electrical and mechanical maintenance of the equipment at the facility with a bias towards electrical engineering and PLC programming. Planned Maintenance - Working with the Maintenance and Test Team Leader on the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule for all key pieces of equipment. Working closely with the production team on continuous improvement activities in all areas of the site processes. Developing and leading a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) strategy for the site, including automation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine conditions monitoring linking to Industry 4.0 technologies. Maintenance and repair of all aspects of the site infrastructure as required, including:
Maintenance of all machines and equipment, tooling, buildings, and infrastructure. Operation of the dynamometer test cell. Process improvement work across the site. Writing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the site.
