Are you a maintenance engineer with experience working in a food production environment? Are you happy to work a rotating late shift and night shift pattern? Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is recruiting for a shift maintenance engineer for our client in the Stonehouse area. Our client is an established food manufacturer and one of the largest independent manufacturers in their sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to grow their team to keep up with production demands.

The Role:

The role involves maintaining and repairing site machinery and services, improving equipment reliability, and supporting planned preventative maintenance. This role is essential for enhancing site reliability, optimising performance, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

Ensure operations meet health, safety, and quality standards. Optimize line performance to exceed equipment reliability and efficiency KPIs. Perform and enhance planned maintenance activities. Analyse performance data to implement improvements. Lead or participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives. Develop systems to improve equipment operation and process management. Manage reliability programs for specific machines. Record performance and maintenance data to prevent equipment failures. Conduct safety, quality, and GMP audits, recommending actions. Train team members in asset care and condition monitoring tasks.

The Candidate:

Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; food production experience is essential. Qualified to HNC level, City and Guilds Part 3, NVQ level 3 or a time-served apprenticeship in a skilled discipline. Health and safety knowledge is required. Familiarity with world-class manufacturing techniques. Proven ability to work effectively in a team. Self-motivated, with the initiative to challenge existing practices. Strong advocate for and driver of continuous improvement initiatives. Effective communicator, highly organized, and adaptable.

Benefits:
