Maintenance Engineer Omagh £39755 - £40466 Days | Evenings | Nights Vickerstock are currently working with one of Europe's largest food manufacturers for one of their sites based in Omagh. Our client is a leading provider within the food sector providing products to some of the world's largest food retailers. This is a full-time permanent role within their Maintenance department. Your primary focus will be to ensure the maximum uptime of machinery across their shift patterns. Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer: Work continuously to ensure that all scheduled engineering maintenance works including diagnostic fault analysis are actioned. Ensure, as directed, that all auxiliary services (i.e. steam, air, water etc) plant, equipment and distribution systems are maintained in a proper and efficient manner. In conjunction with the Engineering Management and Production Manager, maximise the utilisation of the site's assets while taking all opportunities to minimise costs. Carry out schedule-based maintenance work on equipment, buildings and services and repairs, overhauls and installations as appropriate. General maintenance and breakdown activities, resolving causes of defects for allocated cell/area. Fault find mechanical and/or electrical faults and repair equipment in a breakdown situation. Deliver sufficient callout support and handovers to ensure reliability and performance of the plant's machinery in line with agreed service levels. Proactively identify and rectify potential equipment/services issues. Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and prioritize work as agreed. As a Maintenance Engineer, ideally you will have: Relevant NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification/recognized time Electrical served apprenticeship OR Relevant NVQ Level 3 Mechanical engineering qualification/Mechanical recognized time served apprenticeship. Experience servicing and repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems. Experience in carrying out preventive Maintenance on motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, rollers and pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
