What you’ll do: Undertake planned and responsive plumbing work either independently or supervised across both our Commercial and Public Sector buildings. Undertake maintenance duties in a manner that supports the objectives of the client and respects the dignity and privacy of the resident group. Ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools. Operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal, etc. in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM. Full compliance with handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM’s management system FSI Go. Participate in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities. Report all accidents and incidents as per RFM’s Health and Safety Policy. Maintain awareness of RFM's policies, procedures, and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service. Provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services. Maintain asset histories, maintenance records, and helpdesk reports, informing the RFM Contracts Manager or sub-contractors of any follow-up action that may be required. What you’ll need: The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach. Previous maintenance experience working in an FM environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure. Dedication and ambition to develop within the role. NVQ Level 2 or higher in plumbing. Water Byelaws Scotland. Extensive experience of property maintenance gained in either the public or private sector. Driving Licence. The successful candidate will require a Disclosure Check. Who we’re looking for:
The post holder will work as part of the maintenance team with responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high-quality Reactive Maintenance, Planned, and Lifecycle service for the contract within the given region. The post holder will have a designated core skill (Plumbing) and will be expected to lead in this area but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence. A flexible working approach is required as the role may require tasks to be carried out that are outside contracted hours. What's in it for me
