Maintenance Engineer (Continental Shift)

Maintenance Engineer sought for a globally recognized, market-leading manufacturer in its niche industry. The company is known for its high standards and offers a diverse role within a friendly and supportive team environment.


As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a variety of machines, including power presses, laser cutters, robots, automated production lines, and assembly systems.

Your main responsibilities as the Maintenance Engineer will include fault diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, implementing preventative and total productive maintenance schedules and driving continuous improvement initiatives, quality and efficiency. Additionally, you will support technical projects, maintain accurate records via CMMS, and ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations.


The ideal candidate will hold an ONC or equivalent qualification, an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship in engineering, and have experience working within a manufacturing or processing environment. Expertise in electrical control and safety systems, PLC programming (including minor ladder logic modifications), variable speed motor controls, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential. Strong computer literacy and a sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations are also required.


The Maintenance Engineer:

*Experience working in a manufacturing environment

*Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge

*Hydraulic and Pneumatics knowledge

*Ability to program PLC’s

*Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations


The Person:

*Hold an ONC or equivalent qualification

*NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship in engineering

*Previous experience working within a manufacturing or processing environment

*Able to communicate with all levels within an organisation

*Computer literate
