We are pleased to offer this unique opportunity for both internal and external candidates to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer. This role is critical in ensuring effective and efficient maintenance of the plant and equipment across the site while satisfying statutory regulations and codes of practice. Responsibilities:

Maintain good standards of discipline and working practices to ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policy, Environmental and Quality Policies. Liaise with all cells and other non-operational areas to provide a maintenance service that will support achieving business objectives. Work closely with site shift supervision to collectively provide continuity of agreed maintenance service levels and their priorities over the respective shift patterns. Agree maintenance priorities and schedules with internal customers and the Process Eng Leader and be responsible for achieving those schedules. Support the development of cells in the introduction of new products, new plant and equipment and systems. Monitor cell/team expenditure to ensure that costs are controlled. Ongoing systematic reviews of plant & machinery requirements, including analysis of data to look for fault / downtime trends. Promote and integrate new working practices into the maintenance function, i.e. Total Productive Maintenance. Ensure good housekeeping 5S standards are achieved and facilities are properly maintained. The role involves considerable planning and judgement to manage the many activities taking place within the site and to combine the day-to-day requirements with meeting the more long-term objectives of training and maintenance system improvements. Carry out any other reasonable duties you may be assigned. Support continuous improvement activities onsite e.g. Kaizen/HPT's/Problem Solving. Control of External Contractors - induction, permit to work, supervision. Minimum Requirements:

Qualified to NVQ level 3/HNC or equivalent in a technical discipline. Timed Served within a Mechanical and/or Electrical discipline. Experience in plant and equipment automation. Experience of working in a similar role in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment. Excellent fault finding & diagnosis skills on a wide range of plant & machinery. Familiar with analytical and continuous improvement techniques. Familiar with Health, Safety & CA/CE legislation & PUWER for plant & machinery. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office & PPM databases.
