Our client is a leading food manufacturer that values hard work, teamwork, and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK and are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join the team. Role & Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery. Work on control panels, HMi’s, PLC’s, and SCADA Systems. Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving, and repairs. Deal with motors, servo drives, contactors, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and inverters. Management of stores, ordering of spares & parts when needed. Upkeep and alteration of electrical & mechanical drawings. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Must be an electrically biased engineer. NVQ Level 3 electrical engineering or maintenance minimum. Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship, with 5+ years experience outside of it. Strong electrical & mechanical problem-solving skills. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing industry – food, FMCG, packaging, etc. Knowledge of PLC’s, automation & control systems, HMi’s. Must have 17th or 18th Edition Electrical. Able to read and follow electrical schematic drawings. Knowledge of food safety / hygiene beneficial. Willingness to help in all areas of the team. Experience with motors, inverters, VSD’s, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes. Note:
