Strong career development & training (internal and external training) We have an exciting Maintenance Engineer role to join our Taw Valley Creamery. This is especially exciting as the creamery is undergoing a major transformation, thanks to a £180 million investment. As this project evolves and the site expands so will the opportunities to make an impact. How will you add value Provide critical breakdown support across a complex 24/7 production site from chilling systems, conveyors through to cheese processing equipment. Carry out planned, preventative maintenance and servicing activities as planned via the CMMS system. Troubleshoot and diagnose breakdowns using structured problem-solving techniques and drive continuous improvement to improve operational efficiencies. Champion health and safety by adhering to safety standards, SOPs and participating in risk assessments. Support and lean into projects across the site, both small and large, actively inputting to site development and performance. What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role Experience in an FMCG, Food or regulated manufacturing environment, working at pace in a maintenance engineer or similar role. Ideally you will be time served/apprentice trained as an electrical, mechanical or Multiskilled Engineer qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3/ONC or higher. Structured problem-solving experience, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and fault finding. Computer literate – SAP PM or similar CMMS system, Microsoft Office. Arla Taw Valley Creamery Our Taw Valley Creamery was established in 1974 and it has been a significant site for cheese production in the UK, undergoing various developments and expansions over the years to improve its capacity and capabilities in cheese making. We process approximately 1.2 million litres of milk daily, producing over 100t of award-winning cheeses, such as BOB and Castello Tickler, alongside butter and whey powder. Our Taw Valley site is soon to receive around £180 million investment to create a new mozzarella production facility, the 2nd largest single investment in Arla Foods UK.
