The role would be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and its purpose is to maintain the reliable operation of the plant. SHIFT PATTERN Early’s:

09.30-20:00 ABOUT THE ROLE The job function is to carry out multi-skilled Maintenance tasks. The role requires the skills of an experienced maintenance technician with a bias to mechanical, but electrical skills will be considered with relevant mechanical experience. The work involves a range of preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance as required. Additionally, it is required to be proactive in driving improvements in maintenance methods and techniques in keeping with known standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. Diagnostic troubleshooting and problem analysis are essential skills. The role works closely with the production team, so good communication skills are necessary to ensure that daily goals are achieved. Furthermore, the role entails ensuring that the equipment is set optimally and that the IT interfaces are functional. There will also be a requirement to assist the engineering manager in supervising external contractors. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis. Use predictive maintenance techniques such as thermographic imaging and vibration analysis, along with experience, skill, and judgment to make regular assessments of the plant condition. Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance workflow methods and techniques. Process optimization to ensure maximum efficiency. Employ Preventive/Predictive maintenance techniques to achieve benchmark plant reliability and ensure the availability of critical spares. Manage own workflows to remain within the maintenance budget. Oversee projects when required. Ensure adherence to safe systems of work, PPE permits, risk assessments, etc. Minimum Required Experience/Qualifications Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture. Post-apprenticeship experience. Electro-Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant, including pneumatic and hydraulics. Interacts with vendors to complete day-to-day tasks. Familiarity with safe systems of work (Permit to Work systems). Experience in carrying out Preventative maintenance tasks. Some working at heights will be required. Ability to develop and conduct training for operators. Ability to organize, coordinate, and accomplish multiple tasks. Strong communication and organizational skills, able to provide detailed shift reports. Experience of working as part of a maintenance team on a manufacturing site. Demonstrated effective systematic problem-solving skills. Must have a high drive and energy level, a can-do attitude, and excellent attention to detail. Treat people with dignity and respect. Able to work autonomously and react quickly in high-pressure situations. Self-motivated, able to work independently. Be flexible and adjust shifts to cover other engineers’ holidays. Prepared to participate in training and development. Ensure all planned and routine maintenance are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
