The Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing company based at their Wigan site. You will be tasked with all maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant machinery. In a small team, you will be working on reactive maintenance primarily in the electrical department while also carrying out planned tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintaining plant, equipment, and utilities throughout the site. Utilising initiative to rectify problems. Routine PPM work. Reactive and planned tasks. Utilising CMMS (SAP). Observing Health & Safety of themselves & colleagues is a must. Continuous improvement work. Responding to production breakdown issues and providing technical support. Maintaining plant processes and keeping up to date with technical advancements. Be the AP (Authorised Person) for emergencies, including High Voltage for electrical technicians.

The Successful Engineer Ability to read electrical drawings & schematics. NVQ Level 3 qualified/apprentice trained. Experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens. Electrical experience within a manufacturing environment. High voltage qualifications are desirable.
