As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our on-property maintenance team, ensuring the maintenance of the hotel and the outdoor areas on Bovey Estate, whilst ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective use of staff resources. You will liaise with contractors and assist the Group Maintenance Manager with health and safety, ensuring all company, statutory, and legal regulatory requirements are met at all times. What you’ll need? The ideal candidate will have previous facilities/maintenance experience gained in a front-facing customer environment (ideally hotels) as well as having a specialist trade in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or construction. You will have practical working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, health and safety, and fire regulations. You will be a very hands-on person, self-motivated, with a very proactive approach. Most important is the ability to manage a multi-task list through effective delegation and follow-through to ensure that maintenance tasks are dealt with as quickly as possible and to high standards, as well as maintaining the PPM for the property.
