About the role Accountable for the delivery of Maintenance in Tesco Distribution Centre at Didcot/Southampton. Managing a team of circa 10 multi skilled technicians covering HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Building, Refrigeration, Working collaboratively with all functions inside Property and our external contractors.

You will be responsible for

Building effective relationships and communication across all functions and with key stakeholders.

Attending DCM Meetings, working day to day with DC Management.

Delivering change across business areas to consistently deliver performance and improve productivity.

Delivering great results with year-on-year improvement.

Driving problem solving, identifying key issues, and developing effective solutions.

Managing the workload and capacity of my team.

Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious.

Locally managing contractor’s performance on site to ensure first fix.

Collaborating with the rest of the business to ensure the solutions are truly co-developed and owned at a local level.

Developing, leading, and coaching a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best.

Effectively using the insight developed to shape strategic thinking and identifying potential opportunities.

Being a custodian of Health and Safety.

Driving the diversity and inclusive agenda throughout my team.

Delivering KPI'S and implementing improvement plans when they are not achieved.

Escalation management.

Ensuring that all legal and compliance standards are met as a minimum and exceeded where possible.

Delivering great brand through the team, uniform, service and work standards.

Driving the team through the Maintenance Pathway to business required levels.

You will need

Communication and stakeholder management

Lead a diverse and remote team

Building internal and external networks

Analysis of data to achieve timely decisions

Financial competency

Computer literacy – EAM, Office 365

Change management

Problem solving and root cause analysis

Influencing skills

Previous Technical and Maintenance Engineering Experience.

Experience in a similar scale remote facilities or maintenance business

Demonstrated operational success in people leadership and development.

Technical qualification in either HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, refrigeration or Building.
