SUMMARY OF JOB CONTENT

A highly qualified Maintenance Manager to initially support the construction of our new manufacturing facility via coordination of building space, equipment selection, machine installation etc. Once plant is operational, will lead maintaining facilities and contribute to improving our business. Responsible for leading the maintenance team and developing systems, overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and executing long-term strategic plans. Optimising equipment availability through planned/ preventative/ predictive maintenance and through responsive reactive maintenance in the event of unplanned shutdowns or issues.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Construction Phase

To manage the design, planning, procurement, importing, installation, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities needed for the submarine power cable plant which is newly built. To communicate and manage with Contractor, regarding to the installation of equipment, based on the Master program issued by Contractor. To plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, machine and other related costs. To provide HSE related requirements of above works. To introduce and maintain the requirement of ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and other related standards. To oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout. All above tasks are proceeded in coordination with SMEs in the Headquarters, and external consultants.

Operational Site

Responsible for staff recruitment, training and development within the area of responsibility. Accountable for the maintenance, repair, and all other maintenance activities for all equipment and facilities on site. Ensures effectiveness of maintenance activities in accordance with production and quality standards as well as in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements (environment, health and safety). Work closely with production management to plan maintenance to minimize downtime and resolve technical problems – responsible for creation and implementation of said plan. Provides professional advice and support to internal departments concerning technical and engineering issues. Coordinate outside vendors carrying out maintenance works. Responsible for calibration and safety inspections of equipment. Continual focus on efficiency within the department and control of budget. Establishment a system and management of equipment spare parts inventory. Ensure department is audit ready and meeting internal policies. Ensure that all work permits and risk assessments are in place prior to conducting any work requiring these. Rota Management - manage and maintain a balanced team to cover the workload and ensure there is adequate cover for 24/7 operations. Responsible for all aspects of the day to day people management within the Maintenance team including coaching, mentoring, change management, recruitment, performance management, absence and discipline.

PREFERRED Knowledge / Skills / Experience

10 years experience in similar job. Relevant Degree in Engineering discipline. Proven managerial experience and being an effective leader. Preference to have experience of Manufacturing environment or heavy industries. Fluent English. Effective communication with several stakeholders. Passionate & enthusiastic about becoming involved in starting a new organization. Flexibility and willingness to carry out tasks not typical of such a senior role within the initial construction / start up phase.
