Competitive What You’ll be doing: The Asset Maintenance Manager is a pivotal management position within the Technical Control Department, reporting directly to the Technical Control Lead and the Delivery Assurance Lead. This role encompasses comprehensive responsibilities for the conceptualisation, implementation, and management of maintenance systems. Additionally, you’ll ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of asset management processes across all Portsmouth Naval Base assets by developing and maintaining maintenance plans and strategies to ensure optimal performance and longevity of assets. With the support of reviews on asset performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement and implementation of best practices and standards for asset maintenance and management, you can expect a diverse role that forms part of an integral area of the business framework. You’ll Have: Essentially, you’ll have a HNC, HND or Degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline, and/or ideally be a member of, working towards or have aspirations of professional recognition (IEng or CEng). Coupled with this, you’ll have proven experience of presenting information confidently at all levels, and be able to champion clear communication ability. With exposure in developing strong working relationships with customers, colleagues across departments and with senior and executive leaders, you’ll also excel at multi-tasking, organisation, and time management to meet the demand of the role. Lastly, experience within Maintenance Management is desirable, and you’ll be conversant with computer systems and digital platforms. About you: You’ll have the ability to present information confidently at all levels, be a strong communicator to effectively manage all key requirements of the role and have excellent written and verbal skills. Developing strong working relationships with customers, colleagues across departments and with senior and executive leaders will come naturally, and you’ll be able to gather and evaluate data to isolate possible contributing circumstances. Essentially, you’ll be able to work at pace, manage workloads and meet deadlines, and any working experience of SFG20 maintenance standard will be highly advantageous.
