We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Operator   to join our team in Willand, Devon. This is a fantastic and exciting career opportunity to join one of the UK's largest food manufacturers. The hours of work are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday   The rate of pay is:  £13.94 Main Responsibilities: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as Maintenance Operator   your main responsibilities will include: Maintain existing machinery and equipment across the site by undertaking planned preventative maintenance work and testing on a regular basis Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns or other engineering problems ensuring down time and disruption is kept to a minimum Accurately complete all documentation required by the business and collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to identify and resolve Health and Safety issues across the site where possible Work together with Engineering and non-Engineering employees to identify efficiency improvements and cost savings on the Production lines and machines To have in place systems and procedures to support the Engineering Manager and carry out all planned maintenance activity  Contribute to the development of the Engineering team To adhere to all Health and Safety legislation and to actively promote a safety culture Ideal Candidate: Our ideal candidate will have: Good communication and organisational skills Use thinking skills to evaluate, decide, prioritise and plan.  Can balance short term requirements with long term objectives to achieve commercial goals.
