Maintenance Planner’s

primary objective is the planning of all resources to ensure safe and efficient execution of all scheduled maintenance work, thus keeping plant equipment in a condition to deliver full design capacity and reliability, optimizing asset profitability for the life of the organization. A major part of this is maintaining an efficient preventive maintenance program. The planner will work closely with the maintenance manager and team in achieving these objectives. A degree of flexibility in working hours will be required to support the plant during planned outages and any major shutdowns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Site H&S: Maintaining Site H&S systems with respect to maintenance, process, storage, and project operations. Site Environmental Systems Awareness and reporting of environmental incidents around site. Maintain records, charts, and indexes, including but not limited to: MSHA records, Environmental records, and ISO records. Plan, schedule, and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Work with plant maintenance management team to continuously upgrade PMs and associated tasks. Assist maintenance team with purchasing function of parts to perform needed repairs and maintenance. Ensure CMMS software data files are complete and current, including equipment tables and equipment BOM’s. Become the SAP PM key user and assist with training and coaching of SAP PM functions. Review & convert daily notifications and close out PM & CM work orders daily, inputting history and comments. Develop a weekly maintenance schedule and assist the maintenance supervisor(s) in determining job priorities. Support Operational Procurement with maintenance purchasing, inventory control, and invoice management. Assist the Maintenance Manager to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance technicians and/or contractors to perform major plant equipment outages. Develop cost estimates for major jobs and track actual vs. budgeted spending for major jobs and outages. Assist the Maintenance Manager to develop 1-year and 3-year Major equipment outage plans in Excel or MS Project format. Assist Maintenance Manager and team to develop budget and capex plans for future years. Regulatory Responsibilities:

Responsibility for maintaining and overseeing inspection records of all mechanical equipment as required by relevant laws and standards. Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Formal training in the Maintenance Planning or Scheduling function is desired. Knowledge and application in the management of maintenance labor/equipment data and use of the CMMS system is essential. Good organization, time management, communication, and people skills are a must. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate on all levels. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet all required deadlines. Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs. Good understanding of environmental, safety, and the desire to follow all established procedures are required. Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Access are required. SAP and MS Project experience is a plus, but not required. Physical Demands:
