Maintenance Planner

to be based at our manufacturing plant in

Havant, Hampshire (PO9 2NB). As Maintenance Planner, you'll be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of proactive maintenance work performed at the site with the objective of optimizing total maintenance cost and effort by maximizing maintenance workforce productivity and increasing quality work performed to expectations. Job Responsibilities

Evaluating non-emergency work requests, developing scope of work, and carrying out inspections to determine job requirements. Estimating labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment, and special tools required to complete proactive jobs in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing CMMS system. Gathering relevant technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, specifications, spare parts lists from equipment histories, OEM manuals, and the Knowledgebase system, verifying part availability prior to scheduling the job, and arranging for special tools and auxiliary equipment when required. Maintaining an organized and prioritized work order backlog to determine the next highest priority jobs to be planned next and maintaining the Ready Backlog as required. Employing the continuous improvement process to update Job Plans for accuracy and effectiveness. Conducting weekly planning & scheduling meetings with Production to determine work order priorities, communicating work order status, and altering planned maintenance activities if necessary. Creating a Weekly Technician Schedule that includes priority planned jobs and preventative maintenance tasks that utilize 100% of the available technician labor hours. Assisting in search, quote, and ordering of spare parts for Maintenance and Repair, ordering and receipt of parts on arrival. Maintaining records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters. Any other related ad hoc duties as required. To thrive in this role we would expect you to demonstrate: Experience in maintenance scheduling/planning, and/or significant experience as a machine repair technician, or equivalent combination of both. Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environment. Electrical/mechanical aptitude, with relevant supporting qualifications as appropriate. Experience in job plan development, job scheduling, and work execution. Proficiency with computers, maintenance systems, and applications including Microsoft Office. An ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional. Project management and capital project experience (preferred). 5S Trained (preferred). Safety Trained Supervisor certification (preferred).
