Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Project Engineer to manage and support maintenance department projects. This role combines hands-on responsibilities with contractor management, requiring expertise in project management and electrical/mechanical installations. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget while driving improvements in plant performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote and adhere to HSE policies across the department and plant. Drive initiatives to improve plant health and safety. Ensure contractor RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and permits are updated and followed. Manage and lead projects to meet deadlines, budgets, and specifications. Use project management tools to track progress and communicate updates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Execute projects that enhance plant KPIs (e.g., OEE). Deliver value-for-money solutions with a focus on waste reduction. Drive innovation and positively challenge the status quo. Attend required training and adhere to company standards. Provide training to stakeholders following project delivery. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Strong commitment to health and safety. Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering or HNC in an engineering discipline. Proven hands-on experience with installations and fabrication. Project management and contractor control experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable: Health and safety accreditations. Experience with tier 1 automotive supply. Familiarity with equipment such as die casting machines, furnaces, hydraulic presses, ABB robots, Siemens PLCs, and CNCs.
