We are delighted to offer this excellent opportunity to join our client on a permanent basis as a Shift Supervisor within their existing Maintenance department. The role is permanent and full-time, with hours of work being Monday to Friday 5.45am-2.00pm / 1.45pm-10.00pm rotating days and backs.

Duties of the role include: Being the senior Maintenance person on shift that all breakdowns will be reported to. Briefing the Maintenance Team at the start of the shift with what is planned and what they are expected to achieve. Reporting any breakdowns and outcomes to the Engineering Manager at the end of the shift. Requesting any necessary tools or equipment that need to be ordered to Management. Assisting colleagues where necessary. Being the lead person to liaise with Production and Quality departments if needed. Ensuring that all operations on equipment are performed to a professional, high-quality standard. Informing and updating Engineering and Production Management with regards to line availability following breakdowns. Making sure that equipment is properly maintained, and identified faults are reported and logged so that corrective action can be taken. Assisting with the planned preventative maintenance program. Collaborating with Production and Quality departments to improve output and efficiency. Recording maintenance and results/resolutions for future reference. Ensuring all parts are removed from equipment and the area is clear and safe prior to production line re-starting.

Essential Experience: Time served mechanical or electrical biased engineer. Experience of being in a Supervisory role in a maintenance department.

Desired Experience: PLC experience is advantageous but not essential; previous experience within an FMCG would be beneficial. Knowledge of HACCP / food safety. IPAF Certificate. Testing and inspection. Experience in a fast-paced production environment is beneficial.
