Where Does This Role Fit In?

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our keyworker accommodations at Ansari Court, Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Cwrt Llandough, Llandough Hospital. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Property, you’ll be part of a dedicated team maintaining high standards for our tenants—doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff who deserve a comfortable and secure place to call home. Part of your role is to supervise the Estates Assistant and relief Estates Assistant.

What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

To excel in this role, you’ll need some experience in repairs and maintenance, whether from a contractor or client perspective. A strong understanding of health and safety practices is essential, along with good communication skills and the ability to work independently. A full UK driving licence is also required, as you’ll need to travel between sites.

Having knowledge of various building trades is a plus, with particular value placed on qualifications in carpentry, plumbing, or bricklaying. An appreciation for delivering excellent customer service and enthusiasm for improving traditional working methods will help you stand out. Above all, being a positive team player with a willingness to learn and adapt will ensure success in this role.

What are the pay and benefits?

The salary for this role is £29,929 for a 37 hour full time permanent position.

Work Van and fuel card.

Working pattern will be one in 3 weekends and four days per week plus on call.

On call payments are as follows: On Call: £33.46 and call out: £21.57.

Working one weekend in three for three hours on a Saturday and Sunday and some bank holidays.

It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full manual drivers licence.

26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 30 days with length of service.

Mileage paid at 45 per mile.

A basic DBS is required for the role, which we pay for.

Our Interview Process Will Consist Of Two Stages

Second Stage: Selected candidates will be invited to attend an in person, 1 hour interview week commencing 10th February in Ansari Court, Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
