TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Our Maintenance Team supports our Wire and Cable and Materials Manufacturing Facilities as part of a dedicated team with Electrical and Mechanical skill sets. The Maintenance Team is a vital part of our Production Facility, ensuring that the equipment is serviced to schedule and that breakdowns are resolved quickly. Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day breakdowns and services in our Wire and Cable and Materials facilities. React to unscheduled problems with equipment and coordinate any activities required to resolve them. Manage, coach and develop our Technician Team to hit our objectives and maintain a high standard of service. Support, coach and mentor our Apprentices and help them gain the experience they need for their courses. Monitor, identify and implement improvements within the Maintenance function. Will need to move from one facility to another and back again as and when priorities dictate. Attend and present at Tier 3 meetings to liaise with the Production Teams on what priorities we need to focus on. Address Health and Safety concerns raised by our Production Teams. Introduce a Continuous Improvement culture in line with our TEOA program. Identify repeat failures and determine any preventative action we can implement. Interface between our Maintenance, Facilities, Process and Projects Departments. Monitor, Review and Respond to our Key Performance Indicators. Deputise for the Maintenance Manager as needed. Work independently, with minimal supervision. What your background should look like:

You have proven experience in Maintenance in an industrial environment. You have proven people management experience, covering 5 years. Proven experience of working within a range of different Production environments. Experience with Mechanical and Electrical systems. Experience with PLC Controls and Motor Drives would be a benefit. Flexibility to switch between different machines and different areas that need different disciplines. PC Literate for all Office Applications, with experience of a CMMS package. Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to produce and present a project justification. Demonstrate a “lead by example” approach within the Maintenance Team. Competencies
