Commutable from Portsmouth, Fareham, Southampton, Winchester, Ringwood, Havant and surrounding areas Company We are currently recruiting for a large, new and modern factory looking for a Maintenance Team Leader / Maintenance Supervisor whose strengths are in staff management; leading, motivating, supporting, coordinating and driving teams to meet business and operational objectives. You will be responsible for a team of up to 12 permanent staff and various contractors in this fast-moving production environment. Responsibilities Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role is to oversee all maintenance and technical work in the factory, both proactively and reactively, leading a maintenance and technical team of up to 12 staff members. This role requires a hands-on approach with an estimated split of 70% management and 30% hands-on. In challenging situations, you will actively support the machinery as needed. Key responsibilities include:

Driving a continuous improvement culture within the team. Providing support, guidance, training, and delegation of tasks. Planning and scheduling work while maximizing the use of the CMMS system. Minimizing downtime and addressing recurring issues. Ensuring health and safety compliance, including proper use of PPE and adherence to procedures. Requirements - Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship and/or hold relevant engineering qualifications. - Experience managing a team of Engineers and Staff. - Experience in a similar environment, such as Production, Manufacturing, Automation, or Industrial. - Strong staff management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team. - Ability to prioritize and delegate workload and use initiative in a fast-paced production environment. - Computer literate.
