Gi Pro is proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company, one of the most recognized manufacturers in the UK. The company is looking for a Maintenance Team Lead.

Job Role: As a core member of the engineering team, you will report directly to the engineering maintenance manager. You will be tasked with leading shift members, including prioritization and allocation of workload. A proven track record of working within an FMCG environment as a lead or senior engineer is essential. You will have technical hands-on engineering experience working with a range of maintenance activities on site.

Typical Duties will involve: Ensuring production priorities are understood to carry out maintenance works enabling orders to be met. Working closely with the Shift Operations Manager to ensure planning of engineering activities is fully supported. Management and development of department processes. Maximizing and improving performance in line with KPIs. Providing expert front-line engineering knowledge. Ensuring company and statutory Health and Safety regulations are met. Carrying out technical and operational audits. Making and maintaining the right engineering decisions.

Desirable Experience: A recognized time-served apprenticeship

(ideally) . NVQ Level 3

(minimum) . Experience in food manufacturing maintenance. Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation. Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability. Managing safe working practices. Broad knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and PC/inverter assets.
