Maintenance Team Leader Darlaston

Salary:

£47,895 - rising to £50,895 after six months probation

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday double days: 6.00am - 1.30pm Mon - Thurs & 6.00am - 1.00pm Friday, then 1.30pm - 9.00pm Mon - Thurs and 1.00pm - 8.00pm Friday. Working a 37-hour week but get paid for a 37.5-hour week.

My client has been manufacturing in the area for years and operates a factory filled with automated machinery supplying the automotive industry. This is an amazing opportunity for a maintenance team leader to focus on reactive maintenance with a significant emphasis on improvements and root cause analysis. The maintenance team leader will demonstrate existing knowledge of CNC machines (at least navigating the interface) and will have focused on reactive maintenance in their current role, with proven experience in improving machinery to decrease the amount of reactive maintenance needed. This role is ideal for an existing maintenance team leader or a hands-on maintenance engineer from a CNC background. The position will involve training, and recruitment is only taking place due to a retirement. The CNC machines on-site include Grob, Starrag, and more. This role will be 50/50 desk-based and hands-on.

Benefits for the Maintenance Team Leader: 27 flexi days per year (Jan 1 to 31 Dec), 1 extra day after 5 years of service, and 8 statutory days. Matched pension to 6% 2 x life assurance Medi-cash for the maintenance team leader Training both internally and externally Incredible longevity within the existing maintenance team

Experience Required for the Maintenance Team Leader: Must have knowledge/experience with CNC machines. Experience working as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - would consider either bias. Consideration will be given to someone without team leader/supervisory experience who is looking for that next step up. Most duties will be mechanical with some electrical. Knowledge of assembly machines and robotics is advantageous (KUKA/ABB). Attitude is key for this role, with plenty of development and progression opportunities for the maintenance team leader.
