Your normal working days will be Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). 07.15am to 04.30pm Monday to Thursday and 07.45am to 1.45pm on a Friday Reasonable amount of overtime to be expected. JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity in a busy Engineering Team for a Maintenance Technician / Electrical Engineer who has electrical and ideally mechanical fault finding and machinery maintenance experience with the ability to work on your own initiative. Working as the Maintenance Technician / Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of industrial equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximising production efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong electrical background and proven fault-finding abilities. As the Maintenance Technician / Electrical Engineer you will need to be a team player with the ability to work on your own initiative when required. You’ll also need to be available for overtime when required. DUTIES Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair on a variety of machinery Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs Replacement of bearings, gears, and other mechanical components Ideally, experience in the maintenance and repair of: Overhead cranes and jibs Plasma cutting machinery Gas cutting machinery Saw/drilling machinery Welders/grinders Forklifts and sideloaders Maintaining accurate maintenance records Adhering to all health and safety regulations Working collaboratively with other engineers and production staff CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician / Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing / industrial environment would be highly desirable A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (e.g., HNC, NVQ Level 3) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Strong electrical fault-finding skills Experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Excellent problem-solving skills A proactive and can-do attitude HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
