Summary
Due to our continued growth, YASA is looking for a Maintenance Technician. You will be providing mechanical and electrical support on a hi-tech, automated assembly line. We are looking for a hard-working enthusiastic individual who is keen to work in a dynamic and exciting fast-moving environment.
Repairing faults as the first port of call for machine breakdowns.
Providing technical support to achieve production output standards.
Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault-finding.
Advising on technical issues, whilst liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities.
Monitoring machine performance.
To succeed in this role, we believe you'll need:
To be qualified to 17th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical
Proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician
Proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics
To be IT literate and to be able to navigate systems easily
To be organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems
Though not expected, it would be very beneficial if you have: Previous experience in an automotive environment Experience of working within IATF16949 quality system environment
