Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technician focuses on reliability and continuous improvement work including installation, relocation, and optimisation of machinery, alongside developing robust maintenance strategies.
What the role involves
- Reliability and continuous improvement work including installation, relocation, and optimisation of machinery, alongside developing robust maintenance strategies.
- Fault finding using PLCs, multi-meters, schematics, and visual inspection techniques.
- Breakdown maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing or replacing faulty components.
- Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing of equipment.
- Mechanical maintenance including pumps, solenoid valves, pneumatics, bearings, rollers, gearboxes, motors and related systems.
- Electrical maintenance including three-phase motors, sensors, proximity switches, relays, safety circuits, control panels and LV systems.
Skills and requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment, including post-apprenticeship experience.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
- Experience working within regulated environments (GMP/QMS preferred).
