Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE) is one of Europe's leading producers of sodium carbonate, salt and sodium bicarbonate and other products, from our plants in Cheshire, UK. If you are a Procurement professional looking for your next challenge and want to be involved in a large scale project in the North West then this could be the role for you! TCE have just announced a significant investment of £60 million to establish a new pharmaceutical-grade sodium bicarbonate plant in Northwich, Cheshire. The new plant, projected to be operational by 2027, will have an annual production capacity of 1,80,000 tons. The facility will effectively triple TCEL’s current output of pharmaceutical-grade sodium bicarbonate in the UK, positioning the company to better meet growing demand from pharmaceutical companies. This new investment has created a great opportunity in our Procurement team based at our Head Office in Natrium House in Northwich. The role is for a Major Capital Projects Procurement Manager who will be responsible for the procurement for investment projects across Tata Chemicals Europe. The successful candidate will manage and deliver the capital project across the company introducing new suppliers and technology where possible to provide greater opportunity for both cost and performance efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Principal accountabilities: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that ensure cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality and compliance. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts for long-term value and reliable supply chain performance. Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement processes, ensuring the best value for money while meeting project deadlines. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal procurement standards, while managing risks associated with supply chain disruptions. Work cross-functionally with departments such as Finance, Operations, BD, and other teams to align procurement with the organisation’s broader objectives. Establish, track, and report on KPIs for procurement, providing insights and progress updates to senior management. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Proven track record in delivering successful ‘value for money’ procurement and contract management role in high value/ high risk projects on time and within budget. Proven robust experience of the full procurement supplier management process. Construction Project Procurement experience. Excellent understanding of various forms of contract and key commercial and contractual risks. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Strong project management and planning skills. Manufacturing background. Experience of tender management. Job Benefits
