Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a rapidly growing ICP, who provide end to end solutions across sustainable and renewable infrastructure, focusing on substations, EV, and other renewable assets. Together we are looking for a Pre-Construction Project Manager to act as a main contact for stakeholders and lead pre-construction planning activities.

The Pre-Construction Manager role comes with a salary up to 55,000 + benefits and hybrid working.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Engineering Director you will:

Act as the primary contact for all pre-construction inquiries, particularly around design, across various communication platforms. Review and keep up-to-date pre-construction project schedules to ensure accuracy and relevance. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to support the timely and successful delivery of projects. Collect data through customer interactions and site visits to provide the estimating and delivery teams with essential pre-construction insights. Establish and manage the Project Communication System, provided by the Client/EPC Contractor and other relevant parties, ensuring the proper distribution, archiving, and storage of all incoming and outgoing documentation. Maintain project management tools, such as Status Reports and any other monitoring reports required by the Project Owner. Participate in relevant meetings to understand the support needs for each project. Assist in the preparation of pre-energization documentation. Provide regular operational and commercial updates to enhance the client experience. Support various administrative tasks across project development, design submissions, payment stages, construction, and operations.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Demonstrable experience in Pre-Construction Project Management or Construction Project Management Ideally experienced in grid connections, high voltage electrical or major infrastructure projects. Have a Prince 2, APM, PMI or other project management certification. Proficiency in productivity and collaboration software, such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint, on multiple platforms (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops). Experience using MS Project or similar project management software. A full UK driving license.

The Pre-Construction Project Manager role would suit someone who is or has:

A strong attention to detail and a commercial awareness. A strong respect to health and safety and safe working practices on site. Excellent planning, interpersonal and communication skills. Flexible to travel.
