We are currently looking for an experienced Male Support Worker to join a small Secondary SEN school in Croydon starting January 2025. The role will involve supporting students between 11 and 19 to be independent by developing life and work skills for adult life and assisting with personal care.

Role of a Support Worker:
Supporting students in their social, behavioural, and academic development Ensuring all safeguarding procedures are met to maintain the safety of the children Helping the students engage in learning activities and manage their behaviour Monitoring and recording the students' progress and reporting back to the teacher Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm Must be comfortable supporting with ASD, challenging behaviour, and personal care Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Care Assistant is preferred Willing to commit to full-time hours and working with SEN students Personal care experience preferred but not a requirement Flexibility and openness to change when working on different activities Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations Excellent communication and active listening skills to motivate pupils to learn are essential
