Mammographer (Bank) Derby Hospital | Radiology | Bank - Ad hoc Up to £35 per hour depending on experience * Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability* As a Mammographer at our Derby Hospital, you’ll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently, accurately and compassionately. You’ll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate certificate in mammography, HCPC registration and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Our Radiology Department is a small but busy department covering a wide range of general radiographic examinations, limited interventional procedures, theatre, ultrasound, mammography and CT/MRI. Mammography services are provided on a Siemens Mammomat Inspiration. Nuffield Derby provides access to breast screening and one stop breast clinics. As a Mammographer, you will: Hold a postgraduate certificate in mammography Be able to undertake QA/calibration tests and escalate any findings Have the ability to work closely with Consultant Radiologists and Consultant Breast Surgeons Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for a varied caseload across multiple specialties Supervise and develop junior colleagues Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion As a Bank Worker, you’ll be called on to provide cover during periods of sickness, holidays or increased workload. We’ll give you a uniform and provide personal protective equipment. You won’t be classified as a contracted employee, so there’ll be no fixed working pattern, or entitlement to guaranteed or continuous employment. A range of daytime and shifts may be offered.
